U.S. Marshals Arrest South Carolina Fugitive in Delaware County

Philadelphia, PA – Members of the U.S. Marshal's Fugitive Task Force arrested Dominique Carter, 29, for homicide and related charges, at approximately 6:30 a.m. on March 3rd in the 600 block of Poplar Street in Sharon Hill Pennsylvania. Carter was wanted for vehicular homicide since February 11, 2020. It is alleged that on February 8th, Carter crashed his vehicle into a home in North Charleston, South Carolina, killing a 49 year old woman. A warrant was issued by the North Charleston Police Department in South Carolina, on February 11th.
On Monday March 3rd, the U.S. Marshals Carolina Regional Fugitive Task Force in South Carolina developed information suggesting Carter was currently hiding in Pennsylvania. Investigation determined Carter had family member in Sharon Hill, PA and at 6:30am this morning, members of the U.S. Marshals Eastern Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force in Philadelphia, proceeded to a suspected residence for Carter in the 600 block of Poplar Street. After brief negotiations with investigators, Carter was placed into custody without incident. Carter is currently being housed at the Delaware County Prison pending an extradition back to South Carolina.
