Alpine, TX – Manuel Adriano-Ruiz was captured by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) after Mexican authorities charged him with the aggravated murder.
Adriano-Ruiz, 25, was wanted by Mexico Law Enforcement Authorities in the state of Chihuahua, after he was formally charged with aggravated murder of his wife in August of last year.
In November of last year, Mexico law enforcement authorities provided information to the U.S. Marshals Service that indicated Adriano-Ruiz had illegally re-entered the United States after previously being deported for serving time in prison on drug charges.
After a diligent investigation led by the Alpine and Midland Lone Star Fugitive Task Force and with assistance from U.S. Probation, the Midland County Sheriff's Office and Midland Fire Department, Adriano-Ruiz was located and apprehended yesterday in Midland, Texas.
Adriano-Ruiz is currently being held at the Midland County Detention Center on his current charges and pending additional charges for illegal re-entry into the United States.
