U.S. Marshals Recognized During Awards Ceremony

WASHINGTON - U.S. Marshals Service personnel were presented awards during a ceremony hosted by the Department of Justice March 25.
Individual officers and leadership were recognized for their achievement in critical law enforcement operations and investigations during the 73rd Annual Attorney General Awards ceremony at the Robert F. Kennedy Building.
“It gives me great pleasure to announce and congratulate the United States Marshals Service recipients of the 73rd Annual Attorney General Awards. The Attorney General’s Awards recognize exceptional achievements, exemplary leadership and an unwavering commitment to serving the Department of Justice and the American people,” said U.S. Marshals Service Director Gadyaces S. Serralta in an address to the agency.
Chief Inspector David R. Smith, Chief Inspector Donald Snider, Chief Inspector Michelle Hamilton, Chief Inspector Oscar Torres, Senior Inspector Tristan Martin and Assistant Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal (DUSM) Saturnina Reyes received the Attorney General’s David Margolis Award for Exceptional Service. This leadership team was honored for a successful operation under pressure, delivering record-setting results while leading a prominent federal violent-crime reduction operation during the Washington D.C. Safe & Beautiful Task Force.
Senior Inspector Brenden Shue was the recipient of the Attorney General’s Award for Excellence in Law Enforcement. Shue was honored for his relentless pursuit in the investigation, apprehension and prosecution of a complex sex trafficking ring responsible for the victimization of over 573 victims.
DUSM Sarah Calgreen was the recipient of the Attorney General’s Award for Fraud Prevention. Calgreen was honored for exceptional service in the investigation and prosecution of an over $10 billion healthcare fraud scheme by a transnational criminal organization.
