Youngstown Fugitive Wanted for Human Trafficking Arrested by U.S. Marshals

For immediate release

Youngstown, OH – Late this morning, members of the U.S. Marshals led Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Randy Reese, 37.  Reese was wanted by law enforcement for trafficking in persons, rape, corrupting another with drugs, and felonious assault.

Reese was being investigated by the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force for these various felony charges that took place over multiple years.  A warrant was issued on Friday for Reese’s arrest and the NOVFTF immediately began looking for Reese.  In addition to the new charges, Reese was also out on bond for a case where he is charged with felonious assault and strangulation.  Reese posted bond for that case in February of this year.

Members of the NOVFTF were able to locate Reese at a home in the 4100 block of Southern Boulevard in Youngstown.  He was arrested there without incident and transported to the Mahoning County Jail.

U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott stated, “A case like this shows the incredibly dedicated work by members of the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force and then quick work by our task force.  Law enforcement in Northern Ohio will do everything they can to work together to bring suspects like this to justice.”
