Wanted for Ten Months: U.S. Marshals Arrest Fugitive of the Week

Concord, NH – The United States Marshals Service is happy to announce the arrest of "Fugitive of the Week," Meghan Elizabeth Donnelly.

After being wanted for ten months, "Fugitive of the Week" Meghan Donnelly, 29 years-of-age, was arrested without incident this morning. Ms. Donnelly had been featured on December 16, 2020 as the "Fugitive of the Week" for the U.S. Marshals in New Hampshire. Donnelly was being sought on two outstanding arrest warrants, including a Strafford County Superior Court warrant issued in March 2020 for failing to appear on a charge of possession with intent to distribute narcotics. Additionally, Donnelly was wanted on a warrant issued by the Carroll County Superior Court for failing to appear on a narcotics possession charge issued this past December.

As stated above, Ms. Donnelly had been featured as the "Fugitive of the Week" on December 16th 2020 which was aired on WTPL-FM, WMUR-TV, The Union Leader, The Nashua Telegraph, The Patch, Foster's Daily Democrat, Manchester Information, the Manchester Ink Link, the Rochester Voice and prominently featured on the internet. The "Fugitive of the Week" continues to be a very successful tool that has resulted in the location and arrest of numerous fugitives since its implementation in 2007. Additionally, the "Fugitive of the Week" was distributed statewide to all law enforcement officers in New Hampshire.

As a result of the tips received, members of the U.S. Marshals - New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force conducted surveillance this morning and observed Donnelly as a passenger in a vehicle on Route 108 in Somersworth, New Hampshire. This vehicle was stopped by investigators on Blackwater Road in Somersworth and Donnelly was arrested without incident.

Ms. Donnelly was brought to the Strafford County Jail for processing and holding on her outstanding arrest warrants pending her initial court appearance in the coming days.

This arrest was made by several member agencies of the New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force including, the Rockingham, and Strafford County Sheriff's Offices, the Greenfield (New Hampshire) Police Department along with deputy U.S. Marshals.

Since the inception of the U.S. Marshals - New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force in 2002, these partnerships have resulted in over 8,218 arrests (Updated as of 12/16/2020). These arrests have ranged in seriousness from murder, assault, unregistered sex offenders, probation and parole violations and numerous other serious offenses. Nationally the United States Marshals Service fugitive programs are carried out with local law enforcement in 94 district offices, 85 local fugitive task forces, 8 regional task forces, as well as a growing network of offices in foreign countries.
