The U.S. Marshals serves as the enforcement arm of the federal courts and is involved in virtually every federal law enforcement initiative.

  • Cleveland Homicide Suspect Arrested by U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force

    Cleveland, OH – The U.S. Marshals led Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force, in conjunction with the Cleveland Police Department (CPD), arrested Andre Pettaway (21) after he was charged with homicide by the Cleveland Police. The arrest took place in the 1800 block of Reyburn Rd. Cleveland, OH earlier today.

    Pittsburgh, PA - The U.S. Marshals in the Western District of Pennsylvania, along with the Western District of New York, have joined the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) manhunt for a man who escaped from the Warren County jail late Thursday, July 6, 2023.

    Eau Claire, WI – On June 28th, 2023, members of the U.S. Marshals Service’s North Star Fugitive Task Force (NSFTF) in the District of Minnesota arrested a “most wanted sex offender absconder” following a traffic stop on a U-Haul truck.

    Madison, WI – The Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force for the Western District of Wisconsin arrested 11 fugitives, including seven non-compliant sex offenders, during a 10-day warrant sweep named “Operation Northern Exposure” from June 19-June 30.

    Portland, ME – The U.S. Marshals Service, Maine Violent Offender Task Force announce the arrest of Zenn Matthew Vicknair, 50, in Ellsworth, Maine. Vicknair was wanted by the Circuit Court of the State of Oregon for Multnomah County for 4 counts of Unlawful Sexual Penetration of a Minor, 4 counts of Sodomy in the first degree, and 6 counts of Sexual Abuse in the first degree.

    Dayton, OH – The U.S. Marshals’ Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) arrested fugitive Damarcus Guy outside a Miami Valley bus station at approximately 6:00 a.m. Tuesday morning. SOFAST members located Guy who was awaiting a Greyhound bus that would take him out of the state and arrested him safely without incident.

    Columbus, OH – The U.S. Marshals Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) located and arrested fugitive Sir Robert Martin-Sydnor with the assistance of multiple SWAT teams late in the evening of June 21, 2023. Martin-Sydnor was wanted by the Columbus Division of Police in connection with a shooting that occurred in East Linden.

    WASHINGTON – An Indiana man who was placed on the U.S. Marshals Service 15 Most Wanted list seven days ago was arrested Tuesday at approximately 1:30 p.m. at a residence in Avon, a Hendricks County suburb of Indianapolis.

  • U.S. Marshals Task Force Arrests Child Sexual Offense Suspect After Seven Years on the Run

    Columbus, OH – The U.S. Marshals Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) arrested fugitive Santos Carrillo on June 7, 2023, on an outstanding arrest warrant from Davidson County, North Carolina. In January of 2016, an arrest warrant was issued for Carrillo charging him with a First-Degree Sex Offense of a Child.

    Buffalo, NY - The U.S. Marshals New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force recovered a critically missing child from Sweetwater, Texas early today in Lockport, New York.

    The child was reported as a runaway to the Sweetwater Police Department in Texas, and authorities received information that the child could be heading to the New York area.
