Case outline
The U.S. Marshals - New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force and Manchester Police Department are requesting public assistance in its efforts to locate and arrest fugitive, Desmel Cooper. In 2011, Cooper was found guilty in a Vermont federal court for selling cocaine. He was then prosecuted for possessing a “shank” in a federal facility in 2014. As a result, Cooper was on federal supervision when he and another individual got into an altercation outside the 603 Bar and Grill in Manchester on Feb. 12. Cooper allegedly produced a knife and stabbed another man 4 times, lacerating his liver. Manchester PD has a warrant for Cooper’s involvement in this incident, which also triggered a federal supervised release violation warrant held by the U.S. Marshals Service. Cooper has a history of violent behavior, is known to carry a knife, and has made prior threats to law enforcement. Cooper is known to have strong ties to Brooklyn, NY. Please see Manchester PD press releases from Feb. 12 on local media channels for additional information. The public is asked to use caution if encountering Cooper. If you see someone who resembles Cooper, please contact the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, or your local police.
