The U.S. Marshals serves as the enforcement arm of the federal courts and is involved in virtually every federal law enforcement initiative.

  • California Man Wanted for 2008 Murder of Sheriff’s Deputy Arrested and Extradited

    Los Angeles, CA – Roberto Salazar, a California man wanted for his role in the 2008 murder of a Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department deputy, was taken into custody in March 2025 by Secretaria de Seguridad y Proteccion Ciudadana in Zecatepec, Morelos, Mexico, approximately 53 miles south of Mexico City.

  • U.S. Marshals Recover Juvenile Victim in Kidnapping Arrest

    Concord, NH – The United States Marshals Service District of New Hampshire (USMS D/NH) has announced the successful apprehension of fugitive Christopher Rodriguez, 40, yesterday afternoon on Route 28 near Wellington Road in Manchester. During the arrest, a missing 15-year-old juvenile from North Andover, Massachusetts-allegedly lured away by Rodriguez-was safely recovered.

    Shelby County, TN – Trenton Dillon Harris, 18, was arrested on the morning of August 28, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia following an investigation by the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS). Harris was wanted for a homicide in Shelby County.

  • Operation Rolling Thunder: 55 Fugitives Arrested in Spokane County

    Spokane County, WA – The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, the Spokane Valley Police Department, and the United States Marshals Service Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force have concluded a week-long fugitive apprehension operation, Operation Rolling Thunder.

  • U.S. Marshals Arrest Murder Fugitive on Villanova University Campus

    Philadelphia, PA - Members of the U.S. Marshals Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force arrested Shawn Moir, 26, inside a parking garage at Villanova University. Moir was wanted by the Vineland Police Department for Homicide and related charges, in relation to an August 26th incident in the 3000 block of Diamond Drive in Vineland, New Jersey.

    Dayton, OH – United States Marshal Michael Black of the Southern District of Ohio and United States Marshal Pete Elliott of the Northern District of Ohio announce the arrest of John Lamar Armstrong, 50. Armstrong was wanted by the East Cleveland Police Department for aggravated murder, and the Summit County Sheriff’s Office for rape.

    San Juan, PR – In support of the president’s initiative to reduce violent crime, the U.S. Marshals Service Puerto Rico Violent Offender Task Force (PRVOTF), working in coordination with the Guaynabo City Police Department and the Puerto Rico Police Bureau, executed a targeted operation Thursday morning at the La Rosaleda public housing complex in Guaynabo.

    Gregory Alphonso was the subject of an arrest warrant issued May 23 from the City of New York Supreme Court, Kings County, New York.

  • U.S. Marshals Arrest Felon Wanted for ATV Assault on MPD Officer

    Washington, DC – The U.S. Marshals Service arrested Gerard Stokes in Greenbelt, Maryland as part of the public safety surge Making D.C. Safe and Beautiful on August 16, 2025.

    Stokes, 30, was wanted by the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), for one count of felony Assault of a Police Officer that occurred on March 15, 2025.

  • Operation Memphis Streets Aims to Reduce Gang Violence

    Memphis, TN – The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force in Memphis led a two-week, gang violence reduction initiative dubbed, Operation Memphis Streets, resulting in the arrest of 141 violent fugitives, including 14 wanted for homicide, and clearing 163 arrest warrants in Memphis.
