The U.S. Marshals serves as the enforcement arm of the federal courts and is involved in virtually every federal law enforcement initiative.

  • U.S. Marshals Arrest Two Who Exchanged Gunfire in NYC

    New York, NY – The U.S. Marshals (USMS) New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force, along with the FBI, Aug. 14 located and arrested a man who had eluded police after exchanging gunfire on Aug. 12 with the New York Police Department (NYPD) and another man.

  • U.S. Marshals Month-Long Operation to Combat Violent Crime in Eastern Panhandle Leads to 34 Arrests

    Martinsburg, WV - In support of the president’s initiative to reduce violent crime, the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Mountain State Fugitive Task Force led a month-long warrant roundup in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia from July 14 to Aug. 15, resulting in 34 arrests.

    Boston, MA – The U.S. Marshals Service Massachusetts Fugitive Task Force (MATF)on Monday arrested in Worcester a man wanted for an attempted murder in May in New York.

    Gregory Alphonso was the subject of an arrest warrant issued May 23 from the City of New York Supreme Court, Kings County, New York.

    Philadelphia, PA — The U.S. Marshals Service Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a man wanted for a September 2024 rape at the Abingdon campus of the University of Pennsylvania State.

  • U.S. Marshals Arrest Felon Wanted for ATV Assault on MPD Officer

    Washington, DC – The U.S. Marshals Service arrested Gerard Stokes in Greenbelt, Maryland as part of the public safety surge Making D.C. Safe and Beautiful on August 16, 2025.

    Stokes, 30, was wanted by the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), for one count of felony Assault of a Police Officer that occurred on March 15, 2025.

  • Operation Memphis Streets Aims to Reduce Gang Violence

    Michael Paul Brown, 45, is being held at the Butte-Silver Bow Detention Center.
