According to the Tennessee Sex Offender Registry:
Lane, convicted of rape of a child in 1998, has been out of compliance since 2019 for failing to report and maintain his registration.

Memphis Task Force Helps Recover a 15-Year-Old Child From Hawaii
DescriptionMemphis, TN – A 15-year-old missing child was safely recovered after a tip led to the child being safely found in Hawaii.
On September 1, 2025, the child was reported as a runaway and was last seen wearing a T-shirt and grey sweatpants walking Westbound on Highway 64. Facility staff notified the authorities that the child mentioned being suicidal in the past.

Memphis Safe Task Force Clears Over 1000 Warrants Since Inception of Operation
DescriptionMemphis, TN - As of November 9, the Memphis Safe Task Force has cleared over 1,000 warrants originating in Memphis. Warrant charges include homicide, narcotics, firearms, and sex offenses, among others. This includes 203 firearm warrants and 264 narcotics warrants. The Task Force has arrested 2,342 individuals on various charges.

Memphis Safe Task Force Locates 101 Missing Children in Past 40 Days
DescriptionMemphis, TN - As of November 8, the Memphis Safe Task Force has located and safety returned 101 missing children. Parents and caregivers can now sleep soundly that their children have been safely returned home.
The U.S. Marshals Service Missing Child Unit is assisting local and state authorities in investigating these cases.
