Cleveland Homicide Suspect Arrested by U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force

Cleveland, OH – The U.S. Marshals led Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force, in conjunction with the Cleveland Police Department (CPD), arrested Andre Pettaway (21) after he was charged with homicide by the Cleveland Police. The arrest took place in the 1800 block of Reyburn Rd. Cleveland, OH earlier today. 

The charges stem from a prior incident which took the life of Derrion Miller (20). During the alleged incident, which took place in the 6900 block of Kinsman Ave., a house was shot into forty-one times with a bullet striking Miller. Miller later died at the hospital. 

The investigation into the incident identified Pettaway as a suspect. The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force and the Cleveland Police Department began investigating his whereabouts until his arrest earlier today. Pettaway was booked into the Cuyahoga County Jail.

U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott stated, “The importance of finding and arresting fugitives such as this is primary to keeping our community safe. Combating violent crime and arresting violent fugitives will continue to be our top priority.”
