Akron, OH – Jason Conrad, the inmate that escaped custody yesterday afternoon has been arrested.

The investigation was turned over to the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) yesterday afternoon.  The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force followed up on dozens of tips and conducted numerous interviews to try and locate Conrad.

This morning, the task force received information that Conrad was traveling on a bike in the area of Aqueduct St. and Market St. Officers from the task force, Akron Police Department, and the Ohio State Highway Patrol aviation unit responded to the area.  Conrad was spotted on the train tracks and after a brief foot pursuit he was taken into custody.
