San Antonio, TX – The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF), with the assistance of the USMS Special Operations Group (SOG), successfully apprehended a juvenile fugitive wanted in connection with a homicide that occurred in December 2023.

According to information obtained by the Converse Police Department (CPD), the juvenile was identified as a suspect in the ambush-style murder of a 22-year-old woman that occurred in December 2023 in the 8900 block of Arundal Garden in Converse, Texas. The victim was fatally shot while sitting in a vehicle outside her residence. The attack was executed using at least two high-caliber, semi-automatic rifles.

Following a comprehensive investigation by CPD and the Texas Rangers, the juvenile was positively identified as one of two individuals suspected of committing homicide. The second suspect was reportedly killed in April 2024.

In February 2025, CPD formally requested assistance from the USMS Lone Star Fugitive Task Force to locate and apprehend the juvenile suspect. During the early stages of the investigation, LSFTF developed intelligence linking the suspect to a local violent criminal gang known to law enforcement for its involvement in armed robberies, narcotics trafficking, and homicides. Due to the gang's history of violence and access to high-powered firearms, the agency’s Special Operations Group was activated to assist in the apprehension.

In the early hours of Monday morning, members of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force and the USMS Special Operations Group located and apprehended the juvenile without incident in the 5000 block of Eunice Street, in San Antonio, Texas.

“Apprehending violent, dangerous fugitives is one of the U.S. Marshals Service’s primary missions,” said Susan Pamerleau, U.S. Marshal for the Western District of Texas. “It is deeply troubling that a juvenile was identified as a suspect in such a brutal and calculated murder, one that demonstrated a blatant disregard for human life.”

Pamerleau added, “Our deputies remain committed to working alongside our local law enforcement partners to bring to justice anyone who commits violence in the Alamo City.”

The U.S. Marshals Service Special Operations Group (SOG), established in 1971, is one of the nation's first federal tactical units. SOG is a specially trained, rapidly deployable law enforcement element capable of executing complex and high-risk operations worldwide in support of the rule of law. These enhanced tactical capabilities are leveraged in furtherance of the Marshals Service mission and the broader objectives of the U.S. Department of Justice to protect, defend, and enforce the integrity of the federal judicial system.
