Man Accused of Killing 2 Women, Injuring One in Shooting Arrested by U.S. Marshals

Cleveland, OH – Today, members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Deandre Lewis, 21. Lewis was wanted by the Cleveland Division of Police for homicide and felonious assault.

According to the Cleveland Division of Police, on May 14, 2023, officers responded to an address near the 100 block of E. 76 Street, where they located Ataiya Gordon, 23, laying outside of a vehicle with a gunshot wound to the head.  Police located Bianca Mason, 31, lying on the sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds. Both females were pronounced dead at the scene. A 23-year-old woman was found outside of the vehicle with a gunshot wound to the leg. She was transported to University Hospital and has since been released. Deandre Lewis was later identified as being involved in this deadly shooting, and warrants were issued.

Today, members of the NOVFTF arrested Lewis at an address near the 11600 block of E. 59th Street, Cleveland, OH. Three firearms were seized from the residence following the arrest today.

U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott stated, “Outstanding investigative work by the Cleveland Division of Police, Homicide Unit, lead to the identification of this suspect. The continued relationship between our task force and the Cleveland Division of Police will result in more violent fugitives being taken off the streets.”
