Man Wanted for 2020 Killing of Two Brothers in Cleveland Arrested in Houston

Houston, TX – Early this afternoon, members of the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders and Fugitive Task Force arrested David Spivey, 23. Spivey was wanted by the Cleveland Division of Police for two counts of aggravated murder.

The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) and Cleveland Division of Police have been looking for Spivey since the warrant for his arrest was issued in September 2021. It is alleged that on July 30, 2020, Spivey shot and killed two brothers Delvonte King, 22 and Domonique King, 26 while they were sitting inside a car near the 16100 block of Walden Ave in Cleveland. Spivey walked up wearing a ski mask and opened fire, killing both brothers. He fled on foot after the incident and has been on the run since.

Recently, officers gathered information that Spivey had fled Cleveland and was hiding in Houston, Texas. Today, members of the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders and Fugitive Task Force arrested Spivey at an address near the 10000 block of Spice Lane, in Houston, Texas.

U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott stated, "Relentless efforts by the Cleveland homicide division and our task force resulted in the arrest of a violent and dangerous fugitive. We will never stop pursuing these dangerous fugitives, no matter how long it takes and how far the distance."
