Memphis Safe Task Force Officer Involved Shooting Incident

Memphis, Tennessee — Members of the Memphis Safe Task Force are credited with intervening and stopping a gunman seen running from a business in the 1700 block of North Germantown Parkway in the Cordova area of Memphis this afternoon.

Shortly after 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31, the team saw the individual and attempted to engage him when the officer-involved shooting occurred.

This remains an ongoing investigation. All inquiries should be directed to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI), who is leading the OIS investigation.
