Memphis Safe Task Force Traffic Stop Leads to Major Drug Seizure and Two Arrests

Memphis, Tennessee – The Memphis Safe Task Force announces the arrests of Alan Martinez-Deanda, 23, and Jose Felipe-Baeza-Garcia, 23, following a traffic stop in the area of Shelby Drive in Memphis, Tennessee. 

During the course of the stop, Task Force members discovered a significant quantity of narcotics. After initial testing and examination, approximately 20 kilograms of Methamphetamine were recovered and seized. 

“The seizure of this significant quantity of methamphetamine and the arrest of these individuals reflects the unwavering commitment of the Memphis Safe Task Force to disrupt drug trafficking networks and protect our communities. Through enhanced interagency collaboration, we are not only removing dangerous narcotics from Memphis streets, we are sending a clear message that law enforcement stands united in its mission to safeguard Memphis and restore peace where it’s needed most.” said Deputy Director Stephanie Creasy, United States Marshals Service. 

This enforcement action underscores the Memphis Safe Task Force’s continued commitment to high-impact strategies that target violent crime and disrupt drug trafficking networks, enhancing Memphis public safety.
