Philadelphia Gang Member Accused of Killing 3 Captured by U.S. Marshals

Philadelphia, PA - The U.S. Marshals Service Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force apprehended Tyvine Jones, 25, at an apartment complex on Lansdowne Avenue in Delaware County. Jones, a member and alleged hitman of the “Blumberg” gang, was wanted for three separate Philadelphia murders. The murders occurred August 2020 in the 2200 block of West Diamond Street, May 2022 in the 1600 block of Erie Avenue, and September 2022 in the 1600 block of Creston Street. The victims were 16 years old, 20 years old, and 23 years old, and all perished from gunshot wounds.
After receiving an anonymous tip, at approximately 8:30am investigators from the Marshals Fugitive Task Force, along with Pennsylvania State Attorney General Agents and Philadelphia homicide detectives, surrounded the Stratford Court Apartments where Jones was believed to hiding. Upon locating the suspected apartment, Jones surrendered to investigators and was taken into custody without incident. He was then transported to the Philadelphia Homicide Detective Division for processing.

The Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force is a team of law enforcement officers led by U.S. Marshals in Philadelphia and the surrounding counties. The task force’s objectiveis to seek out and arrest violent crime fugitives. Membership agencies include the Philadelphia Police Department, Pennsylvania State Parole Officers, Pennsylvania State Police, Pennsylvania Attorney General Agents, Chester Police Department, and Bucks County Sheriffs.
