Suspect Wanted for Akron Store Clerk’s Murder Arrested by U.S. Marshals

Akron, OH – This afternoon, members of the U.S. Marshals led Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Da’Quan Mar’Ta Isaac, 26. Isaac was wanted by the Akron Police Department for homicide.
According to police the victim, Ahmad Alibrahim, 21, and the suspect were involved in a verbal altercation over the purchase of a cigar at a store in the 1300 block of South Arlington St. on Tuesday December 12. The altercation turned deadly when Isaac pulled out a gun and shot the victim.
A warrant for Isaac was issued shortly after the incident and the investigation was turned over to the NOVFTF. Today, members of the task force were able to track Isaac down to an address in the 700 block of Hazel St. in Akron. Isaac was arrested without incident.
U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott stated, “Akron Police detectives did an outstanding job in quickly identifying the suspect, this is one of the most senseless murders in our community. We will not let fugitives like this roam the streets.”
