Memphis, Tennessee — The Memphis Safe Task Force announces the arrest of former Shelby County Correctional Officer, Tamillian Young, 24, in Memphis, Tennessee. Young was charged in Federal Court with a felony under Title 18 U.S.C. § 1791 – Providing or Possessing Contraband in a Penal Facility.
According to court documents, members of the Memphis Safe Task Force, in conjunction with the Shelby County Division of Corrections – Office of Professional Standards (OPS), arrested Young at the Shelby County Division of Corrections.
At the time of arrest, Young was found in possession of multiple contraband items, including cigarettes, tobacco, and marijuana. If convicted, she faces up to 20 years in federal prison.
