U.S. Marshals Arrest Multiple Cleveland Murder Suspects

Cleveland, OH – Today, members of the U.S. Marshals led Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Camron Phillips, 21 and Christian Gonzalez, 22.  Both were wanted by the Cleveland Division of Police for aggravated murder.

On September 28, 2025, officers with the Cleveland Division of Police – Third District, responded to a shooting incident near the 1000 block of W. 11th Street. Upon arrival, officers located an unconscious male laying face up with multiple gunshot wounds. That male was later identified as Zai’vyon Jackson, 21, and was pronounced deceased on scene by EMS. Camron Phillips, 21, was later identified as a suspect in this deadly incident, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Today, members of the NOVFTF arrested Phillips at an address in the 3600 block of E. 131st Street, Cleveland, OH.

On November 9, 2025, officers with the Cleveland Division of Police – Second District, responded to a shooting incident on Storer Ave., between W. 49th Street and W. 50th Street. As officers arrived on scene, multiple vehicles were noticed fleeing the area at a high rate of speed. Officers located an unresponsive male near the 4900 block of Storer Ave who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. The unresponsive male was identified as Orlando Cruz, 30, and was pronounced deceased on scene by EMS. Christian Gonzalez, 22, was later identified as a suspect in this shooting incident, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Today, members of the NOVFTF arrested Gonzalez at MetroHealth Hospital in Cleveland, OH.

U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott stated, “The efforts of our task force are relentless and non-stop, as we are pursuing and arresting violent fugitives daily. Today’s arrests exemplify those efforts and the collaborative relationship our task force has with the Cleveland Division of Police, as we took two murder suspects off the streets of Cleveland.”
