U.S. Marshals Arrest Rape Suspect in Cleveland, Ohio

Dayton, OH – The U.S. Marshals’ Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) with the assistance of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested fugitive Augustine Rosales in Cleveland, OH on July 26, 2023, at approximately 12:45 p.m. Rosales had an active Montgomery County Municipal arrest warrant for rape of a minor under 13, sexual battery, and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. The Dayton Police Department investigated and filed charges for the alleged criminal conduct by Rosales. Rosales has been booked into the Cuyahoga County Jail and now awaits extradition to Montgomery County, Ohio for his court appearance.

The U.S. Marshals Service is the nation’s primary fugitive hunting organization and captures more federal fugitives each year than all other law enforcement agencies combined.
