U.S. Marshals Arrest Sex Offender After Nearly Five Years on the Run

Seattle, WA - The U.S. Marshals Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force arrested a fugitive Wednesday who had multiple warrants related to a 2007 conviction for first-degree rape of a child.

Timothy Martin, 57, was wanted by the Washington Department of Corrections for violating the conditions of his lifetime supervision after being convicted of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl in 2007. An arrest warrant was issued Dec. 8, 2021.

Martin was also wanted by the King County Sheriff's Office for failing to register as a sex offender. That warrant was issued June 23, 2026.

Members of the U.S. Marshals Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force located Martin at a tiny house village in the 1600 block of 15th Avenue West in Seattle and arrested him without incident.

After his arrest, Martin complained of medical issues related to narcotics use. First aid was provided to Martin, who was then evaluated by medical personnel on scene and ultimately booked into SCORE (South Correctional Entity) Jail.

“Sexual predators who violate the conditions of their supervision will be held accountable,” said U.S. Marshal (Acting) Donrien Stephens. “Our task force remains committed to locating these offenders and protecting our communities from those who pose a threat to public safety.”
