U.S. Marshals Arrest Violent Fugitive, Handgun Recovered

For immediate release

Carson Taylor, Deputy U.S. Marshal

Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force
Eastern District of Washington

Spokane, WA - The United States Marshals Service arrested Keantray Davon Bryant-Muellner on January 16, 2026, in Spokane, Washington. Bryant-Muellner was wanted on an outstanding Washington State Department of Corrections Secretary’s Arrest Warrant for violating the terms of his Graduated Re-Entry probation sentence.

Bryant-Muellner’s probation originated from an April 2024 arrest following a joint investigation by the United States Marshals Service, the Spokane Police Department, and the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office’s Spokane Regional Air Support Unit. During that incident, Bryant-Muellner was arrested on charges including First-Degree Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Fourth-Degree Assault (Domestic Violence), and Escape from Community Custody under the Washington State Department of Corrections.

At approximately 5:30 p.m., near the 3000 block of South Regal Street, members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force established a perimeter around a residence associated with Bryant-Muellner. After multiple law enforcement announcements were made, a glass sliding door was removed from the residence by officers. Two uninvolved adults immediately exited the residence.

Bryant-Muellner was subsequently located attempting to conceal himself while hiding under a child’s bed inside the residence. He was instructed to exit and peacefully surrendered to law enforcement without incident.

Following the arrest, specialists from the Washington State Department of Corrections - Community Response Unit (CRU) conducted a lawful probation search of the residence, which resulted in the recovery of a handgun and high-capacity magazines.

United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Washington Craig Thayer stated, “Last night’s arrest reflects the strength of our partnerships and the teamwork among local, state, tribal, and federal law enforcement agencies. With gun violence continuing to plague Spokane, every violent offender arrested and every firearm taken off the street makes our communities safer.”

The arrest was conducted by members of the United States Marshals Service Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force (PNVOTF), assisted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Spokane Police Department, and the Washington State Department of Corrections.

The Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force is a U.S. Marshals-led partnership comprising federal, state, and local law enforcement officers from Washington, Oregon, and Alaska. The task force’s primary mission is to locate, arrest and return to the justice system the most violent and egregious federal and state fugitives.
