U.S. Marshals Find Missing 14-Year-Old in Columbus, OH

Columbus, OH – The U.S. Marshals Service Missing Child Unit in Cleveland, OH has been assisting Cuyahoga County Job and Family Services (CCJFS) in the location and recovery of Trinee Washington (14). Washington was in the custody and care of CCJFS and was reported missing on July 9, 2022. Her whereabouts and safety were unknown until earlier this morning.
The U.S. Marshals from Northern and Southern Ohio began investigating information which led them to the 2200 block of Jermain Dr. in Columbus, OH. At this residence, the USMS was able to recover Washington and identify a 41-year-old male who was with her. This male is currently under investigation by local authorities and charges are pending. Washington will be safely returned to CCJFS.
U.S. Marshals Pete Elliott stated, “The continued efforts of our Missing Child Unit and the cooperation of local law enforcement led to this safe recovery. Every day mattered for this 14 yr. old girl. We can rest easy knowing she is safe.”
