U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force Apprehends Suspect Sought in Austin’s 49th Homicide

Austin, TX – Members of the U.S. Marshals-led Lone Star Fugitive Task Force Sunday evening arrested an individual who was sought for a homicide on Nov. 13 in Austin.
Aidan Forrest Hunt, 24, of Austin, was arrested and charged with murder from an incident that was reported in the 4100 block of Victory Drive, where a human body was located inside a large cardboard box behind a bus stop. Austin first responders arrived on scene where the victim was pronounced deceased by Emergency Medical Services.
The Austin Police Department, Homicide Unit, investigated the incident and obtained an arrest warrant in the Travis County Magistrate Court on Nov. 16.
The Austin Police Department requested immediate assistance from the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force to locate and apprehend Hunt.
Members of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force initiated a fugitive investigation and arrested Hunt in the 3900 block of Lamar Boulevard without incident.
Hunt was transported to the Austin Police Department where he was later booked into the Travis County Jail.
