U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force Arrests Nanticoke Bank Robbery Suspect in Georgia

Scranton, PA – Today, U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane announced the arrest of Duwan Antonio Raymond – a 31-year old man with past addresses in Nanticoke.
On December 20, 2019, the Nanticoke Police Department investigated a bank robbery at the Citizens Bank in the first block of North Market Street. Later, officers obtained an arrest warrant charging Raymond with Robbery and lesser included offenses. They also learned that Raymond was wanted for failing to appear in Luzerne County court for Receiving Stolen Property, and, Assault in Philadelphia. Raymond could not be found around the Nanticoke area and the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Fugitive Task Force was asked to apprehend him.
Today, at about 1:00 p.m., members of the fugitive task force arrested Raymond in the 7000 block of Brentwood Court in Riverdale, Georgia. Raymond was turned over to authorities in Clayton County, Georgia to await extradition to Pennsylvania.

The U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force in the Middle District of Pennsylvania is comprised of 20 state, county and local police agencies, including the Pennsylvania State Police; the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole; and, the Scranton Police Department – all of whom participated in this investigation.
