U.S. Marshals Offer Reward for Septa Bus Shooting Fugitive

Philadelphia, PA - The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Asir Boone, 17. 

On March 12, a warrant for attempted murder and related charges was issued by the Philadelphia Police Department for Boone’s role in the shooting of eight high school students at a Septa bus stop. The Marshals Service Violent Crimes Fugitive Task in Philadelphia was immediately delegated the case.

The U.S. Marshals Service is offering up to a $5,000 reward for information leading to Boone’s arrest. The reward will be processed immediately upon arrest and not upon conviction.

Boone stands 5 feet 6 inches and weighs approximately 140 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. He is known to frequent the Olney section of Philadelphia and his last known address was in the 500 block of west Manheim street in Germantown. 

“A deadline has come and gone for Asir Boone to turn himself in. We are now asking for the public’s assistance to further our investigation while also warning that anyone supporting Boone’s flight will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law,” said Deputy U.S. Marshal Robert Clark.

The Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force is a team of law enforcement officers led by U.S. Marshals in Philadelphia and the surrounding counties. The task force’s objectiveis to seek out and arrest violent crime fugitives. Membership agencies include the Philadelphia Police Department, Pennsylvania State Parole Officers, Pennsylvania State Police, Pennsylvania Attorney General Agents, Chester Police Department, and Bucks County Sheriffs.
