U.S. Marshals Task Force Capture Hardeman County Violent Fugitive

Jackson, TN – The U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force in Jackson captured Edtavius Gray, 20, on warrants for Attempted First-Degree Murder and Possession of a Firearm During Commission of a Dangerous Felony.
On March 6th, 2023, deputies with the Hardeman County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) responded to a shooting near Hollywood Acres, which left the victim shot with non-life threating injuries. Allegedly, Gray, who left the scene prior to the Hardeman County Sheriff’s Office arrival, was involved in this shooting.
On May 24th, arrest warrants were issued for Gray through Hardeman County General Sessions Court. The case was adopted by the U.S. Marshals Service.
On the morning of May 30th, Marshals located Gray outside a business in Bolivar, TN. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Hardeman County Jail.
The U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force is a multi-agency task force within Western Tennessee. The Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force has offices in Memphis and Jackson, and its membership is primarily composed of Deputy U.S. Marshals, Shelby County Sheriff’s Deputies, Memphis Police Officers, Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputies, Jackson Police Officers, and the Tennessee Department of Correction Special Agents. The primary mission of the Task Force is to arrest violent offenders and sexual predators.
