Griffin and others are alleged to have kidnapped Dallion Lewis from his home in Hepzibah, WV on March 21, 2023, with the intention of harming or killing him. Lewis’ body was later discovered on Jack Run Road with apparent gunshot wounds that caused his death. Griffin is alleged to have shot Lewis two times during the kidnapping.
The U.S. Marshals Mountain State Fugitive Task Force was requested to assist in locating Griffin after Investigators determined he had fled the area. Through coordinated efforts with U.S. Marshals task forces in West Virginia and Ohio, Griffin’s location was identified. Today, members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Griffin in the vicinity of Kelly Ave. and 7th Ave. in Akron.
