What is Covered by Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Laws

A United States Marshals Service (USMS) employee or applicant for employment may file an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) complaint if the employee or applicant believes he/she was discriminated against based on one or more of these factors:

  • Sex (Including Sexual Harassment)
  • Religion
  • National Origin
  • Age (40 years or older)
  • Disability (Physical or Mental)
  • Reprisal (For Equal Employment Opportunity activity)
  • Sexual Orientation
  • Parental Status
