Philadelphia, PA - Today, at approximately 6:30 p.m., members of the U.S. Marshals Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force, arrested escapee Shane Pryor, 17, at 3rd street and Roosevelt Boulevard. Pryor was wanted for escaping custody during a transport to the Children's Hospital of Pennsylvania (CHOP) on January 24th.

Bolivar, TN – On January 24, 2024, U.S. Marshals captured a West Tennessee murder fugitive in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Rodriquez McNeal, 35, of Bolivar, was wanted for First Degree Murder for a 2021 homicide in Bolivar.

Washington, DC – A U.S. Marshals 15 Most Wanted fugitive wanted in connection with the murder of an infant in New York in 2019 has been arrested in Mexico City.

Dyersburg, TN – On January 24th, 2024, U.S. Marshals (USMS) and the Dyersburg Police Department captured a Wisconsin fugitive in West Tennessee.

Columbus, OH – The U.S. Marshals Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) located and arrested fugitive Gvon Thornton early this morning.

New York, NY – The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force (NY/NJRFTF), with assistance from the New York Police Department's (NYPD) Special Victims Unit (SVU), today apprehended a man wanted for the Jan. 6 rape of a 10-year-old girl he allegedly lured to his apartment in East Harlem.   

Madison, WI – The Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force (GLRFTF) of Fort Wayne, Indiana captured a Wisconsin fugitive for on warrants from the United States Marshals Service-Madison; Winnebago, Richland, and Adams counties in WI; and Kosciusko and Whitley counties in Indiana.

Kansas City, MO – United States Marshal Scott Seeling announced today the capture of fugitive Laron Gilbert in connection with the 2021 murder of a retired police officer in Oakland, CA.

Miami, FL – In the early morning hours of January 14, 2024, members of the United States Marshals Service took Alen Gorishti, 33, into custody.  Gorishti was wanted by the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) in Ohio for a boating incident that resulted in the death of a local fisherman.  

New Orleans, LA –The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) New Orleans Task Force sponsored its annual Operation Boo Dat from October 22, 2023, to January 13, 2024, resulting in 28 arrests, 14 of which were for felony sex offender registration violations.

Austin, TX – Members of the U.S. Marshals-led Lone Star Fugitive Task Force Sunday afternoon arrested a man sought on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and deadly conduct stemming from an incident Jan. 9. 

Wausau, WI – On January 12, 2024, the United States Marshals Service captured a fugitive in a hotel parking lot in Houston.

Peter Jewell-Reigel, 25, was wanted on a warrant out of Marathon County, Wisconsin on a supervised release violation following a 2017 conviction for 2nd degree sexual assault of a child.

Grand Junction, CO – A month’s long investigation into the whereabouts of two missing and endangered children believed to have been abducted by their biological grandmother has come to an end with both children recovered safely, and the grandmother arrested.

Columbus, OH – The U.S. Marshals Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) arrested Sarah Dotson on January 11, 2024.

Memphis, TN – U.S. Marshals along with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Fugitive Apprehension Team (FAT) captured Jorge Estrada-Gutierrez of Louisiana, 24, who was wanted for a homicide that took place on Christmas Eve in Metairie, Louisiana.

New Haven, CT —The U.S. Marshals in Connecticut and Rhode Island, along with Rhode Island and Connecticut police today arrested a man wanted on robbery charges in Rhode Island.

Columbus, OH –  Early this morning, members of the U.S. Marshals Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) arrested Ja’Vontae Jones, 22.  Jones was wanted by the Mansfield Police Department for murder.

Washington, DC – The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) arrested 73,362 fugitives (28,065 on federal and 45,297 on state and local warrants) in fiscal year (FY) 2023. On average, the agency arrested 293 fugitives per day (based on 250 operational days).
