Columbus, OH – The U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested fugitive David Allen Jr. on October 3, 2023, on an outstanding arrest warrant.
Baltimore, MD – On September 29, 2023, the Honorable Johnny L. Hughes donned his gold star badge for the last time as U.S. Marshal for the District of Maryland.
Hughes became the 33rd Marshal for the District of Maryland on February 14, 2002, following
his appointment by President George W. Bush. He was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on February 8,
2002.
Columbus, OH – The U.S. Marshals Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST), Columbus Division of Police (CPD) SWAT, and a Columbus Division of Police Canine (K9) Unit arrested fugitive Jashon Gordon on October 2, 2023, on an outstanding arrest warrant from the State of Pennsylvania.
Des Moines, IA – From Aug. 14 – Sept. 22, members of the U.S.
Humboldt, TN – On September 27, 2023, a man wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service, Humboldt Police Department (HPD), and the Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC) was captured by law enforcement inside a college dormitory room. Daniel Crawford, 22, of Humboldt, was taken into custody after the U.S. Marshals tracked him to Clarksville, TN.
Youngstown, OH – The U.S. Marshals led Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Ashley Croley (37) earlier this morning after being on the run for almost two months. Croley escaped from the Eastern Ohio Correction Center in Lisbon, OH on August 5, 2023. Upon escape, Croley immediately stole a car near the facility running over a man’s foot in the process.
Albuquerque, NM – On Wednesday, September 27, 2023, the United States Marshals Service (USMS) Southwest Investigative Fugitive Team (SWIFT) located and arrested Clayton Allen Starr, 52, who was wanted out of Texas for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, Assault of a Pregnant Person and Assault Causing Injury to a Child/Elderly/Disabled Person.
New York – On Sept. 26 Mexican authorities, with the assistance of the U.S.
Baltimore, MD – The U.S. Marshals Service Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force partnered with the Baltimore City Police Department and other federal, state, and local law enforcement partners to track down and apprehend Jason Dean Billingsley, 32. Law enforcement arrested Billingsley near a train station located in Bowie, MD, just after 11 p.m. on Sept. 27.
St. Paul, MN – A Minneapolis murder suspect who was accidentally released from a Marion County, Indiana, jail Sept. 13 was recaptured today by U.S. Marshals in South St. Paul.
New Haven, CT - The Connecticut U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force, Hartford Police Department, U.S. Marshals New York New/Jersey Task Force, and Connecticut State Police arrested a man wanted for attempted second-degree murder.
New York – The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force (NY/NJ RFTF), with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, apprehended Java Melvin in Reading, Pennsylvania.
Columbus, OH – The U.S. Marshals Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) arrested fugitive Charles Fleming on September 27, 2023, on an outstanding arrest warrant from Columbus.

Columbus, OH – The U.S. Marshals Florida/Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested fugitive Joseph Bryan Howard on September 25, 2023, on an outstanding arrest warrant from Columbus.
Albuquerque, NM – On September 21, 2023, the U.S. Marshals Service District of New Mexico – Southwest Investigative Fugitive Team (USMS-SWIFT) arrested Steven Banda, 48, who was wanted out of Torrance County, NM for an open count of Murder, that occurred in Moriarty, NM on September 3, 2023.
Cleveland, OH – This week, members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Kiarah Bonner, 22, Johnae Bonner, 20, Donajia Bonner, 19, and Brandon Reed, 18. All four were wanted by the Cleveland Division of Police for the same homicide.
Columbus, OH – The U.S. Marshals Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) and Columbus Division of Police SWAT arrested fugitives Levander Davis and De’Andre Davis on September 21, 2023, on outstanding arrest warrants.
Philadelphia, PA — Members of the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force arrested Mario Che-Tiul, 34, for escape and related charges, at approximately 1:30 p.m. in the unit block of Gap Newport Pike in Avondale, PA. Che-Tiul and six other inmates escaped a Barry County jail on June 1st, 2023. It is alleged the escapees violently attacked two correctional officers before fleeing.
